One year ago, I would have laughed
at anyone who told me I would be on social media, but here I am writing
on a blog site that I set up without any assistance from my
"tech-savvy" children. They will be so proud—I think!
Thrust into the social media arena
after the publication of my book, Take a Number Please. . . In Other Words, Wait
last year I found myself in quite a tailspin. This book necessitated the establishment
of a business, Beyond Blessed Ministries, and the need to set up a social media
presence. After a year of posting on Facebook, I decided to dive into deeper
water posting on a blog (and I don’t like to swim!). A new year and another
milestone. I like to refer to these stones in my life as Spiritual Markers.
This first post to Beyond Blessed
Heart is dedicated to introducing a daily devotional book I’ve been working on
since July of last year. It may be published eventually, but until then, at the
request of a young friend, I will post daily as "Thoughts for the Journey." Some
stories are more personal than others; but they all carry a message of our Lord
Jesus. I pray you leave the page each day with a renewed hope;
encouraged, inspired, and challenged to be who God created you to be. He loves
you and desires His very best for you.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy path." Proverbs 3:5-6
This was so exciting to wake up to! Thank you for encouraging, inspiring and challenging women like myself to be and do what God has called us to.💕
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chrystal. Kathy Rousse and you are key people who encouraged me to take this bend in my journey of writing this devotional and posting it on a blog. As I write what God reveals to me, He encourages, inspires, and challenges my heart before I pass it on.
DeleteSo proud of you Gilda! Looking forward to more encouraging words from you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie. I'm grateful for what God is teaching me on this journey and look forward to sharing His grace and love.
DeleteThis is so exciting! Thank you for sharing with us! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThis is Ellen Dunlap in case you were wondering!
DeleteGood morning, Ellen. It is so strange that 4 years after I made the first post on my blog, I would find your comment as I was adjusting the settings on my site. The blog is supposed to notify me of comments, but I didn't receive one for yours. So sorry but take this opportunity to say again that we miss your sweet family. God bless you and Ronnie in your vital ministry that blesses so many. Love you.
